Trail Description : Rim Trail

The Rim Trail runs all the way from Yavapai Point, just east of Grand Canyon Village, to Hermit's Rest, the total distance being approximately 9.5 miles one-way. The Rim Trail is the perfect way to experience the Canyon without having to worry about the problems connected with hiking in the inner canyon. During the summer months walks along sections of the Rim Trail may be broken up by using the free shuttle service which runs along the Hermit Road, parallel to the trail.

The Rim Trail is paved from Yavapai Point to Maricopa Point and is unpaved between Maricopa Point and Hermit's Rest.
