Slept good. Get up, break camp and eat a light breakfast. Pack up truck and head out just before 7.

07:20 - Navajo reservation

Mike gives us tour along the river. Go to a couple of nice river overlooks and then finally to overlook of Nankoweap. Leave reservation and head up to Marble Canyon.

10:30 - Marble Canyon

Do rim-to-rim-to-rim on old bridge. Buy some souveniers for Steve, Deb and Pamela. Go to Lees Ferry. Have lunch at Vermillion Cliffs Lodge, one of Mikes favorite places to eat up here. Wanted us to meet Charlie, the waitress here, but she has a few days off.

12:30 - Simpsons Market

Back to Simpsons to pick up car. Other guys decide to stay in park overnight and do a day hike on the South Kaibab trail in the morning. I offer to let Mike stay with me at Maswik. Chuck and John get a room at Yavapai.

14:00 - Tusayan

Go to see IMAX movie on before checking in.

18:00 - Grand Canyon Village

Have a fabulous dinner at the Arizona Room. Have a couple of beers with dinner. After dinner drop Chuck and john off back at Yavapai. Mike and I talk a while before crashing for the night. Listen to music from Jornada for a while before going to sleep.
