River Trail At River Resthouse
	Devil's Corkscrew The Devil's Corkscrew is an notable section of trail along the Bright Angel Trail. For those hiking down from the rim it is important in that once it has been passed there is not much further to go before reaching the river. For those hiking up from the river it is important in that it is where the hellish climb begins. This section is named for its resemblance to a corkscrew when viewed fro above. The reference to the Devil is because of the terrible heat that can encountered along this stretch of trail during the middle parts of the day. In the summertime it is not uncommon for the temperature to reach or exceed 130 degrees F.
